Largest Ordination Class in the History of St. Augustine's Seminary
One moment stands out prominently in the history of St. Augustine’s Seminary – the ordination of Cardinal Aloysius Matthew Ambrozic and his 53 fellow seminarians in 1955, which marked the largest graduating class in the seminary's history.

Bishop Boissonneau is Auxiliary Bishop of Toronto with the responsibility for the Northern Region. He also helped set up a tuition fund through the Board of Governors to help defray costs for seminarians’ studies.

Fr. Robert Bedard - Class of 1955 - largest ordination class in the history of St. Augustine’s Seminary. He was the founder of the Companions of the Cross, a society of apostolic life in the Catholic Church, and died on October 6. He was 82.
