The seminary was happy to host the launch of a very important Archdiocese of Toronto initiative - the Saint Monica Institute for Education and Evangelization.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank Fr. Robert Barringer, C.S.B., for his outstanding work since assuming the duties of the office in 2020. The faculty, students, and staff of the Seminary are indebted to him for the wonderful work that he has done here, beginning with his work as Academic Dean from 2011-2014.

This fall, Msgr. Patrick O’Dea will be celebrating his 41st year as an ordained priest. Almost a full decade of that time was spent as Rector and Vocations Director at Serra House, the downtown satellite location of St. Augustine’s Seminary.

On Wednesday, July 13, we look forward to hosting the Serra International Foundation Board Meeting and Past Presidents Dinner after mass.

Ordination to the diaconate is the last major step in a seminarian’s journey to the priesthood.

Fr. Greg Carruthers celebrates 31 years on St. Augustine's Seminary academic and formation faculty. He also celebrated 50 years of service in the Society of Jesus. Congratulations and many blessings to Fr. Greg!

Since 1972, St. Augustine’s has provided the formation program for 315 diaconal candidates and their wives who are serving in the Archdiocese of Toronto. This​​ Saturday, June 18 at 10 a.m., 20 men​ will be ordained.
