Spirit & Life: Speak, Lord, your servant is listening

  • St. Augustine's Seminary 2661 Kingston Road Toronto, ON, M1M 1M3 Canada (map)

Learning to hear God’s voice on life’s journey.

In this Spirit & Life morning talk, Fr. Giuseppe Scollo will reflect on one of the most important questions of our faith: how does God speak to us? How does He reveal Himself to us? Drawing on God’s work in Sacred Scripture and salvation history as a whole, we will better understand how deeply connected the desert is to hearing God’s voice, and the importance of hearing God in the “deserts” of our own life. At the same time, we will deepen our appreciation of the need for patience and trust as we learn to recognize the Father’s voice as it unfolds gradually and ever more fully through the stages and events of our life’s journey.

Fr. Scollo serves on the faculty of St. Augustine’s Seminary and teaches a number of courses in biblical theology. He is also actively involved in pastoral work related to the Word of God and the New Evangelization, and is a sought-after speaker for lenten missions, retreats, and presentations throughout the Archdiocese of Toronto and beyond.
