Explore Fr. Charles Anang's Books: Free E-Book Downloads Now Available

The writings of Fr. Charles Anang, Associate Professor of Systematic Theology at St. Augustine’s, provide a roadmap for those seeking deeper connections with their faith and a relationship with God. These transformative works are now available for free download on our website.

Ordained in 1991 for the Archdiocese of Toronto, Fr. Anang’s works offer a comprehensive approach to spiritual growth, addressing faith's practical and mystical dimensions.

“I felt impelled to write because of a great need I perceive in the Church,” he says. “The Church is going through a crisis. We are losing many of our faithful. We have a media and culture that are inimical to the growth of faith (e.g., materialism, secularism, sexual revolution aftermath, crisis in gender identity).”

Fr. Anang has an intense commitment to nurturing others, which is reflected in his writings as he guides readers in the direction of Christ with practical advice on deepening one’s faith and relationship with God.

There are eight books in the series of free downloads, seven original writings of Fr. Anang and one autobiography of Hungarian Jesuit Attila Miklósházy, edited by Fr. Anang.

Books available are:

1. Divine Filiation, which guides readers toward a deeper understanding of their identity as beloved children of God.

2. Priestly Configuration equips readers with practical tools for their spiritual journey. With a special focus on priests and seminarians, this book nurtures those called to shepherd souls.

3. New Evangelization: Starting Anew From Christ addresses the challenges the Church faces in a secular world, encouraging readers to rekindle their faith and spread Christ's message through a focus on holiness, Eucharist, Mary, and the power of the Spirit's charisms.

4. Mystical Incarnation: “You Are My Son The Beloved” delves into the profound concept of Christ's presence within us. This book guides readers through a spiritual journey of docility to God's calls, leaving the reader fully attuned to the Father's love.

5. Won By The Divine Eagle: Mystical Union In Homilies, Talks, Aids, & Counsels offers practical homilies, retreats, counsels, and aids.

6. Won By The Divine Eagle: More Homilies, Talks, Aids, & Counsels also offers homilies, retreats, counsels, and aids but at a more theological level.

7. Live Jesus focuses on restoring love at the heart of the Church and living Jesus’ love of and obedience to the Father.

8 Our Eyes are Fixed on Jesus: Autobiography of Hungarian Jesuit Attila Miklósházy is an inspirational book edited by Fr. Anang offering a contemporary model of saintliness.

It is generally understood that the Holy Spirit speaks in each age, and these books seek to hearken today (i) to His voice discernible in key figures (e.g., John Paul II’s new evangelization); (ii) to the Spirit’s calls for a renewed theology centred on Trinitarian love; and (iii) to follow a path with new pillars (e.g., the Marian Principle and the Spirituality of Communion).

Whether you're a theologian or a student looking for guidance, these books offer something invaluable—an opportunity to grow closer to God and embrace the fullness of your faith.
