Presentation Description
The Our Father is perhaps the most familiar of the Christian prayers, the prayer given to us by Jesus himself. As the Lord’s own prayer, it holds immense riches in its seemingly simple invocations. In this retreat, Dr. Lombardi will walk us through the petitions of the Lord’s Prayer, showing us how the fulfillment of the petitions helps us to prepare and wait during the Advent season. Each reflection will be followed by time for personal prayer or small group discussion.

Dr. Lombardi’s book on the Lord’s Prayer, On Earth as it is Heaven, has been revised and updated for the Jubilee Year of 2025. Pope Francis has exhorted the Church to reflect on the rich insights of the Lord’s Prayer in preparation for the Jubilee year of 2025. Archbishop Salvatore Rino Fisichella, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, prepared the foreword for this jewel of a book. The book is published by Paulist Press in the USA and by Novalis Publishing in Canada.
