Join us for Spirit & Life: Advent Retreat - Preparing for the Arrivals of Christ

The season of Advent invites us to contemplate two "arrivals" of Christ. In the words of St. Cyril of Jerusalem: “In the first arrival, Christ was a child wrapped in swaddling clothes in a manger; at the second, He will be glorious and clothed in light.” This Advent Retreat Day will lead us more deeply into this second “arrival”, with a special focus on the Book of Revelation and St. John’s message about the “newness” to which we are called in Christ. For ultimately, the same Jesus who was born in the town of Bethlehem so long ago, and who will return upon the clouds at the end of time, walks with us now – every day – on our journey toward the New Jerusalem that will descend out of Heaven at the end of time.

In-person attendance only: $50 Admission (Includes pastries, coffee and tea on arrival, as well as lunch. Mass, Confession, and Adoration will also be offered)

Msgr. Robert Nusca is a priest of the Archdiocese of Toronto, ordained in 1988. He holds a Licentiate in Sacred Scripture with Honours from the Pontifical Biblical Institute, and a Doctorate in Sacred Theology with Honours from the Pontifical Gregorian University. He served as the President and Rector of St. Augustine’s from June 2001 to June 2014 and was appointed again in June 2022 as President. He was previously the pastor of Holy Rosary Parish, Toronto and Merciful Redeemer Parish, Mississauga.
