Our Presenter: Father Scirghi is a native of New York City and a Jesuit. He is a member of the East Coast Province of the Society of Jesus. He teaches in the Theology Department at Fordham University in New York, specializing in Sacramental and Liturgical Theology. He holds an STL from the former Weston School of Theology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a ThD in Systematic Theology from Boston University. Fr. Scirghi has taught courses in homiletics and conducted workshops in preaching across the United States and around the world.

St Augustine's Seminary is pleased to announce the next seminar in homiletics, as part of our continuing series of conferences, seminars, and workshops. Our presenter is Fr Thomas Scirghi, SJ, from Fordham University, New York and he has taught homiletics around the world. This wonderful event on June 17 offers you both in-person (at St Augustine's Seminary) and virtual attendance options. The seminar is primarily designed for priests and deacons who have been trained to preach at Mass rather than in lay preaching. Anyone can register for the seminar, but the presenter will primarily speak to the ordained. Previous seminar attendees included Catholic priests and deacons, clergy from various denominations, and lay people with an interest in preaching.
