BIOGRAPHY
Fr. Greg Carruthers entered the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in 1972 and was ordained priest in 1980. After completing his doctoral studies, he was assistant to the editors at the Lonergan Research Institute of Regis College. He joined the academic and formation faculty of St. Augustine's in 1991. He taught a number of courses in Systematic Theology including the fourth year Theological Integration seminar. When the Propaedeutic (Spiritual) Year was first established in 2011, he prepared the seminarians for Annotation 19 of the Spiritual Exercises. After completing teaching in the MDiv program in 2016, he assisted for a year in Adult Faith Formation in the Archdiocese of St. John's, NL. In 2017 he was asked to return to St. Augustine's to assist the Director of the Spiritual Year in preparing the seminarians to make the 30 day silent retreat of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola, and he continues to do so.
