AREA OF SPECIALIZATION

Systematic theology, especially in the area of theological anthropology.

BIOGRAPHY

Following several years of university studies in science and after working in the pharmaceutical industry, Fr. Eric entered the priestly formation program at St. Augustine’s Seminary and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Toronto in 2009. After five years of pastoral ministry, he was sent to Rome for graduate studies in systematic theology. He obtained a licentiate in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University, and is currently completing his doctoral dissertation. He was on the formation faculty at St. Augustine’s Seminary from 2019 until 2024, and served in various roles, including Vice Rector, Director of Liturgy, and Director of Spiritual Formation. Fr. Rodrigues currently serves as a sessional lecturer in systematic theology and is the Pastor of Holy Name Parish in Toronto.
