His Grace Most Rev. Francis Leo, Archbishop of Toronto, celebrated a Mass of Candidacy at St. Augustine’s Seminary on Friday, February 2, 2024.

The Rite for Admission to Candidacy is an important step for each seminarian on his journey toward the priesthood. The rite is an opportunity for a seminarian to publicly express his intention to receive the sacrament of Holy Orders as a deacon and later as a priest. The Rite of Admission to Candidacy includes three components: the call to candidacy, the candidate's scrutiny, and the candidate's blessing.

The following seminarians were admitted to Candidacy:

Brian Izzard-Nabi (Diocese of St. Catharines)
Abrahan Da Silva Vidao (Diocese of Knoxville)
Lucas Brolley (Archdiocese of Toronto)

You can view recording below.

Please join us in praying for the candidates and all the seminarians studying at St. Augustine’s Seminary. May God, who has begun the good work in them, bring it to fulfillment!
