1700 Years Nicene Creed (325-2025): Sources, Meaning and Lasting Impact
The final Divina Eloquia of the year was a great success, with our largest audience in attendance! On March 25, 2025, Rev. Hubertus Drobner presented a talk on the Nicene Creed at the University of St. Michael’s College. Fr. Drobner has been a professor of Ecclesiastical History and Patristics in the Pontifical Faculty of Theology in Paderborn since 1986. His studies include Classics, Theology, Patristics and Christian Archaeology in Mainz, Oxford and Rome. Those in attendance were captivated by Fr. Drobner’s eloquent teaching of the Nicene Creed based on its theological tradition while revealing its significance in modern-day society. We thank Fr. Drobner for his insightful teaching and for leading us to a greater appreciation of the Church’s wisdom.
As we conclude this year’s Patristic talks, we thank all our speakers, organizers, and participants for making the Divina Eloquia Series so memorable. We hope it bears fruit in your daily lives and encourages you to embrace the spirit of evangelization to those around you. We look forward to sharing this journey of faith with you and hope you will join us for future events next year!
