Mass for the Installation of Acolyte 2024
The institution into the Ministry of Acolyte is a formal step in a seminarian’s formation in preparation for ordination. This ministry is centered around the Eucharist where the candidate is called to a deeper understanding of the Mystical Body of Christ. In preparation for service at the altar, the seminarian must learn all matters concerning public worship and strive to grasp their inner spiritual meaning.
On Wednesday, November 20th, the Most Rev. Gerard Paul Bergie, Bishop of St. Catharines, celebrated the Mass in the Chapel of St. Augustine’s Seminary.
The following seminarians were installed in the Ministry of Acolyte:
Archdiocese of Toronto
Dylan Michael
Diocese of Knoxville
Abrahan Antonio Da Silva Vidao
Diocese of Peterborough
Andrew Martin Roelands
Diocese of St. Catharines
Brian Jacob Daniel Izzard-Nabi
As these men move forward in their formation towards Holy Orders, we pray that they may grow in greater love and humility of the Eucharist and His Church.
