His doctoral dissertation: “Heavenly Worship, Ecclesial Worship: The Hymns of the Apocalypse of John,” was written under the direction of Prof. Ugo Vanni, SJ.

BIOGRAPHY

Msgr. Nusca is a Priest of the Archdiocese of Toronto, ordained in 1988.

After serving at All Saints Parish in Toronto, he was assigned to further studies in Rome in 1989, where he completed his Licentiate in Sacred Scripture with Honours from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in 1993; and a Doctorate in Sacred Theology with Honours from the Pontifical Gregorian University in 1998.

He was previously the pastor of Holy Rosary Parish, Toronto and Merciful Redeemer Parish, Mississauga, and is an Associate Professor of New Testament Studies at St. Augustine’s Seminary of Toronto, a Member College of the Toronto School of Theology. He served as the President and Rector of St. Augustine’s from June 2001-June 2014 and was appointed again in June 2022 as President.
