Philosophy of religion (especially faith and reason, religious experience, death and the afterlife); Philosophical anthropology (metaphysics of the spiritual soul, defenses against physicalism and materialism), Thomas Aquinas (PhD thesis).
BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Pamela J. Reeve joined the administrative staff of St. Augustine’s in 1990, working part-time while she completed her PhD in philosophy at the University of Toronto. During this time, she produced an ATS self-study report for the Seminary’s 10-year accreditation review and later served as Registrar. Upon graduation in 1994, Dr. Reeve became a full-time member of St. Augustine’s faculty. She teaches a range of courses, which fulfill the philosophy pre-requisites for the STB/MDiv program, including Critical Thinking, ancient Greek and Roman philosophy, Thomas Aquinas, and the Philosophy of Religion. Her research currently focuses on the philosophy of human nature, death, and the afterlife (titles below). Dr. Reeve also advises the administration on the completion of philosophy pre-requisites by incoming and external students.
